NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING FOR WEIGHT CONTROL IN CHILDREN

Children (2-10 years old) show a continuous physiological, psychological and social development. Childhood is an important period in which growth and development occur rapidly and behaviors that will continue in adulthood are acquired. Childhood obesity is one of the most serious problems of the 21st century. The main reason for this problem is the fundamental imbalance between calories taken and calories expended.

Nutrition has an important place in mental and physical development as well as healthy growth and development in children. By giving children the right nutritional habits, we ensure that their development is healthy and we have the right eating habits throughout life.

Purposes;

In this process, our aim is not to follow a low-calorie diet. To provide your child's macro and micronutrients from healthy and natural foods and to ensure their adequate and balanced consumption. At the same time, it is to increase the level of physical activity and encourage exercise. At the end of this process, they become individuals who have adopted a lifelong sustainable diet and have reduced the risk of many diseases.

Health problems that can be seen when adequate and balanced nutrition is not provided:
